NorCal Backroads

Log Entry #1

I backed the GSA out of the garage this morning at 6:30 am and headed toward Dublin. It's great to be back on the trail on another awesome road trip. Getting out of the garage is always the hardest part of the trip. Always have one last thing to pack. Once your rolling, whatever you forgot to bring you buy!
Rhys and I are kick stands up from Dublin's Pete's Coffee at 7:30am with a quick ride on the super slab to Suisun City and than into "Back road mode"!
Riding through lake country past Berryessa and Clear Lake we stopped to visit Rhys's friends at Crazy Creek Air Adventures in Middletown.
This is an awesome sailplane airport in a beautiful location. The instructors are true journeyman with some pretty cools stories to tell as well. I like the one about the gremlins in the tow plane motor!
Shortly after leaving Crazy Creek we were on gravel roads heading towards Stonyford.
Stonyford is known by some for its great outdoor adventures which include fishing, hunting, boating, OHV, 4 wheel drive and dirt bike riding. A beautiful outdoor destination that seems to be stuck in time.
Our destination for today's ride is Red Bluff.
Tomorrow we head to Grants Pass Oregon.
Nice and clean, won't be like this long! Notice the errant golf ball damage on Craig's truck!
Powered by Pete's!
What still clean!
Cool plane. Now if we can just keep the motor running while we're flying we will be in business!
Ok, now can we get dirty?
California at its best!
